The Airborne Experience

Healing Through Remembrance

I don’t guide you through history

I guide you through what history left behind.

From the past back to the future

From war to inner peace

biografie jasmijn derckx

Welcome,

Next generations are seeking meaning, closure or emotional integration. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of descendants of WWII soldiers are visiting Oosterbeek and Arnhem and that’s wonderful. Many visitors are carrying generational grief or unanswered questions. That’s why I organize this experience.

So, guided by a local-born recovery coach, this experience bridges:

  • History and personal legacy
  • Trauma and transformation
  • Remembrance and Inner Peace

This is not a tour. This is a rite of passage. You will leave with a different relationship to the past. I guide descendants of WWII soldiers through a transformational journey in Oosterbeek, where you don’t just learn history -  you heal your relationship with it.

My name is Jasmijn Derckx. I grew up near the Airborne War Cemetery in Oosterbeek. I was a so called ‘Flower-girl’. Veterans were staying in our family house in the opposite of Hotel Dreijeroord (The White House). So, I’m shaped by the Operation Market Garden history.

I worked more than 30 years as a bodily injury expert for insurance companies. Recently I moved back to my roots and have my own practice in Doorwerth as certified recovery coach. I’m I’ve written 4 novels and organizing writing retreats in a beautiful castle in France. I’m working on a book about neuroplasticity after trauma together with Margaret Diekhuis, psychologist, release expected in June ’26. I’m dedicated to healing trauma.

Maybe you know my story about PAX44? You can read it here

I’m looking forward to welcome you in Oosterbeek!

Lest we forget.
